Dashboards are an innovative way to display and illuminate a school’s assessment data. Properly constructed, they can enable schools to focus on key metrics, such as examination performance, internal assessments or CVA, and present this information in a variety of attractive ways to different audiences who will be able to interact more with the data.

The use of dashboards can transform how schools view data by providing them with sophisticated visual representations of processes and performance. Schools can also carry out ‘what-if’ analyses with dashboards in order to gain new insights into student progress and school improvement, and to enable senior managers and other stakeholders to make informed decisions and take appropriate and timely actions.

Dashboards for School Improvement is a new service which provides tailored assessment intelligence capabilities to schools, through the construction and implementation of bespoke dashboard solutions. These dashboards can be linked to live assessment data, providing up to the minute information about student performance which can be used interactively by teachers and parents.

Dashboard for School Improvement offers a choice of two dashboard solutions, these are Active Dashboards and Excelsius.

Our Active Dashboards solution can provide access to school, year group and student performance to teachers and school managers. These dashboards can also be configured so that parents can access a variety of clearly presented assessment data for their own child over the Internet.

The Active Dashboards solution is a ‘live’ solution which links directly to the school’s database and display the latest assessment situations. Click here for further details.

Excelsius dashboards are based on data exported to Excel spreadsheets which can be manipulated to display assessment data in a variety of useful and attractive ways, which can then be used interactively. Once created, these dashboards are distributed either as Adobe PDF files, Shockwave Flash files or as MS Office documents. To find out more, click here.
